Flood Threat On Rise Mid-Week Through Weekend

Good evening!

I hope you enjoyed the dry spring-like day. It is about to be a wet next several days. Inches of rain are possible from late tonight through early Sunday morning. Tomorrow, a stalled out cold front will be over the region, keeping rain around pretty much all day. Temperatures should fall to the lower 40's to upper 30's by tomorrow evening. Thursday we should see a break from the rain by mid-day. However, another system should move in late Thursday night.

Friday and Saturday, heavier rain should move in and last until Sunday morning. The soil is already pretty saturated, with a possible 5"+ of rainfall, flooding is a major concern. If you see a flooded roadway, remember to TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN. It looks to be a clear start to start the next work week, luckily.

Above, is the GFS modeled total precipitation ending Sunday afternoon. Like mentioned above, rainfall will be measured in inches. Stay dry, everyone!
